The time has come to nest and prepare your space for baby's arrival. But what exactly are the nursery essentials? There is an overwhelming amount of baby products out there and it can hard to decipher which ones are essential and which are not. Below is a detailed list of everything you might want to make life with a baby a little smoother. I'll let you in on a secret, babies don't need much - loving parents, nutrient food, warmth, safety and sleep. You do not need everything listed below to be able to provide those things to your baby.

Bedside bassinet, 2 x fitted sheets, 2 x mattress protectors (a bassinet is not actually essential and is only for use for approx 3 months, however, a bedside bassinet does make night-time feeding easier as you don't have to get out of bed to get baby)
Cot, 2 x fitted sheets, 2 x waterproof mattress protectors
Swaddles. You can use a muslin swaddle or for a hassle free option, I love a swaddle sleeping bag

Bath
Baby bath. One that grows with your baby is best
Non slip bath mat once baby is sitting up unaided and has outgrown the baby bath. Use this in the bath or shower.
